Color Contact Lenses - Get New Eye Color!

I love color contact lenses. I've probably tried most colors, and from many different brands. One thing I learned was that some contacts look great on my eyes, while others make them look fake or terrible. After much trial, error and many trials, I discovered the best way to select the best colors lenses for your eyes.

To start, you should know that color contact lenses can be of two types - opaque lenses and enhancement color contacts. Enhancements colors lenses give you eyes a slightly different hue or make your eyes appear brighter and more sparkling. These lenses are not suitable for people with dark eyes, such as blue, green, gray, or light brown. They are partially transparent, which makes them appear very natural.

Optically-colored lenses, on the contrary, can completely alter your eye color. These lenses are not transparent and are suitable for those with dark eyes. Opaque contacts will not work if your natural color is brown. People with lighter eyes can use both types of lenses depending on their desired effect.

Color contacts to subtle change

The best contacts for blue-colored eyes are aqua or green. Why would someone with blue eyes want colored lenses? You can see a huge difference in your appearance with blue enhancement lenses. Your eyes are still blue, but they look much brighter and attract attention. My eyes are blue. I love wearing contacts in blue tints.

Naturally grey eyes also respond well to blue tints. It isn't as vivid as overblue eyes but looks more natural and attractive. Acuvue 2 colors or Freshlook Dimensions are good choices.

Green color contacts look excellent over blue or grey eyes. This is because jade green is mixed in with your natural colour.

Freshlook Radiance color contacts can be used to make your eyes sparkle. Eden (for grey or blue eyes) is my favorite color. Over hazel eyes, autumn and sunrise colors are very intriguing.

Colour contact lenses for dramatic change

Optically formulated lenses are required to drastically change the brown eyes' color. Acuvue Colors Opaque, Freshlook Colorblends, and Illusions by Ciba Vision are all good options.

Best colors for women with dark eyes and dark hair are Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire or Amethyst. You will not be able to miss the dramatic change.

Honey color contacts may be the best option for you if your eyes are blue or grey. These lenses will make you look warmer. To further enhance this effect, use warm lipsticks and natural colors to make up.

Color contact lens safety

If you're already wearing contact lenses to improve your sight, you will know how they are put in and how to take care of them. You don't need to use contact lenses for cosmetic purposes. Ask your doctor.

Most important rule is that color contact lenses block oxygen supply to your eyes more then clear prescription lens town contacts. Actually, the color part blocks oxygen from entering. Your eyes should not be exposed to color lenses for more than 6-8 hours per day. They should not be worn while you sleep.

A pair of color contacts lenses is a great gift idea. Beautiful, sparkling eyes can make a woman look better. It is great fun to switch out your lenses every now and again.
